Is Faith Academy accredited?

Yes.  Faith is accredited by Advanced Ed, and AISA (Alabama Independent School Association).

Is Faith Academy affiliated with a particular denomination?

No, Faith is a nondenominational Christian school that was started by Life Church of Mobile.

Do you have to be a Christian to attend Faith Academy?

No, Faith’s mission is to win the world for Christ.

What are the school day hours?

All classes begin at 7:50, with early drop off or morning duty starting at 7:20 a.m.  Pre-K and Kindergarten students are dismissed as early as 2:30pm but can also be picked up during pick up line from 3:00-3:25. Students in 1st through 12th grades are dismissed at 3:05 p.m., and may be picked up in the pickup line between 3:00-3:25 p.m.

Does Faith offer an after-care program?

Students in grades K3-6th grade can attend Life Church Child development Center. Contact 633-2679 for more information. There is no after school care for 7-12 grade students.

Do students attend Chapel?

Yes.  All of our students attend bi-monthly chapel services. Middle and High School students alternate weekly between Chapel and small group meetings or mini chapel.  Chapel consists of praise and worship music, and a Scripture-based lesson. Students also have the opportunity to try out for the chapel band.

Do you offer Honors and AP courses?

Yes, Honors Math courses are available starting in the 7th grade. Starting in the 9th grade, honors options are available for all core courses. We also offer dual enrollment through University of Alabama for Juniors and Seniors that qualify. Seniors have the option to take AP Calculus if it is on their track.

What foreign languages does Faith offer?

Faith offers Spanish I and II, French I and II and Latin.

What kind of computer training is available to your students?

K5-6th grade attend weekly computer classes. 8th grade students take one semester of computer fundamentals, and Highschool students are given the option to take computer class electives, such as programming. (See the Technical endorsement course of study on the Guidance Office page.)

What can students wear?

All uniforms are sold in the Faith Academy bookstore that is on campus. (See uniform guidelines on our Bookstore page.)

Outerwear must also be purchased from the Faith Academy bookstore.

Occasionally we will have a reward day or jean day in which students can wear jeans and any Faith Academy t-shirt. Jeans must have no holes, or tears. Students cannot wear leggings or athletic pants.
