“Uncommon”
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Romans 12:2
Mission Statement
The Boys Soccer program at Faith Academy exists to provide young men the opportunity to learn life lessons through the game of soccer, and to strive for spiritual and physical strength while competing in a structured and driven environment. Athletes not only learn these lessons, but are also heavily instructed in the technical and tactical aspects of this wonderful game. It is the goal of this program that when young men leave Faith Academy, they are well rounded in the game as well as in life, and are fully able to lead and impact the world around them.
The motto for the team this season is “Uncommon” based on Romans 12:2. In this program, our athletes will strive to be “uncommon” in many aspects of their lives. “Uncommon” athletes work hard and don’t expect anything to be handed to them. “Uncommon” Christians stand out in today’s world because they make decisions based on a Biblical perspective. “Uncommon” character puts others before themselves.

Each year has seen great increases in player development as they work hard to learn the technical aspects of their game. The coaching staff has provided detailed instruction in tactics as well, allowing the Rams to grow into a program that looks to make serious runs into the AHSAA 5A playoffs in the coming years.
Coach Sauers is a 2001 graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a minor in Science. He currently teaches 8th grade Science at Faith Academy. He and his wife Jennifer have three children and live in Semmes. Assistant Coach Shawn East (JV) and his wife Jennifer have 5 children and live in West Mobile.
