"To God Be the Glory"
"The Tradition Continues."
With Elite Eight Tournament appearances every year since entering into the Alabama High School Athletic Association in 2008-2009 as a 5A school, the tradition of excellent volleyball continues at Faith Academy. We are proud of our Final Four appearances in 2009 and 2010, and of our first AHSAA State Championship in 2009.
The 2012 season brought a change in coaching staff at the varsity level with Coach Colleen Edwards taking the program over. Coach Edwards played collegiate volleyball at Huntingdon College and became assistant at the varsity level from 1995-1999 with AISA State Championships in 95, 96, and 97. She was named the head coach in 1999, and from that year through 2003 led the Lady Rams to AISA State Championships in 99 and 01. She stepped down in 2003 to raise her two young daughters. Returning to the program as assistant to Coach Jessica Rapier, she helped lead the team to consecutive appearances at the AHSAA Elite Eight and a 5A State Championship in 2009. Working with Coach Edwards at the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels are Coach Heather Nezat, a Faith alum, and Coach Jacquie Dooley.
Faith is proud to offer teams at the 7th and 8th grade level, coached by Coach Jessica Scarpa and Chelsea Cummings (both alumni), and the 5th and 6th grade level, coached by Coach Rae Lynn Dennis and Katie Cumlander (Faith graduate). We are also proud to offer intramurals, clinics, camps, and our new spring training program called The Intensity for grades 3 and up.
All Out and Sold Out!
2010-2011 was our first year to have swimming at Faith Academy. Even with the newness of the program, the team did great, and they represented Faith Academy well.
